As part of a rolling regulatory work programme, the Office for Statistics Regulation is currently assessing the Key Stage 4 Performance statistics produced by the Department for Education (DfE). This is a routine assessment to ensure the statistics continue to meet the professional standards set out in the statutory Code of Practice for Statistics.
The Code of Practice is a regulatory framework based on the trustworthiness, quality and value of statistics. It places a strong emphasis on meeting the needs of users. Capturing the views of users, and potential users, forms an important part of our judgment about the statistics, including their strengths and how they could be improved going forward.
Our questionnaire gathering user feedback closed on 25 March 2022. We hope to publish the assessment later this Summer. If you have any questions, please get in touch with one of our assessment team: Vicky Stone, Emily Carless, Emma Harrison or Nicky Pearce.
