Sir David has asked me to reply on his behalf to your recent letter, in which you asked the Authority to carry out an assessment of Transport Focus’s statistics based on the National Rail Passenger Survey.
I welcome your endeavours to publicly demonstrate the compliance of these statistics with the Code of Practice for Statistics. I am pleased to confirm that my team will shortly be in touch with your statisticians to agree the timing for this assessment.
