REQUESTING ASSESSMENT OF THE NI PERSONAL INDEPENDENCE PAYMENT EXPERIMENTAL STATISTICS AS NATIONAL STATISTICS.

Dear Mr Humpherson 

I am writing as Senior Statistician in the Department for Communities on behalf of and with the approval of the Minister for the Department.  

In accordance with Section 12(1) of the Statistics and Registration Act 2007, I would be grateful if your Assessment Team can assess the following publication against the Code of Practice for Statistics for National Statistics designation: 

NI Personal Independence Payment Statistics. 

The provisional timetable for assessments has this scheduled to take place in November 2020. We look forward to working with the assessment team on this matter.
