Dear Ed,
REQUESTING ALTERNATIVE RELEASE TIME FOR THE UK TRUST IN GOVERNMENT SURVEY
I am writing to request an alternative to the 9:30am release time relating to the release of the UK Trust in Government Survey. The UK survey is part of a wider international study led by the OECD who currently plan to publish their report at 1.00pm on 13 July 2022.
By aligning our release time with the OECD (1.00pm), we can ensure there is equality of access to the information for all users on the day of publication. It will provide coherence between publications, allowing the public to have full transparency of the UK results and methodology at the same time as the detailed international comparisons are made in the OECD report.
With this in mind, I ask that we publish online at 1:00pm, and would be grateful for confirmation you are content to grant this.
I am copying this request to Michael Keoghan, Deputy National Statistician & Director General for the Economic, Social and Environmental Statistics Group (ESEG) at ONS.
Yours sincerely,
Rachel Skentelbery
Deputy Head of Profession for Statistics, ONS
