Guide for policymakers

As part of the suite of reports published alongside this paper, the Authority will publish Guidance for policymakers using statistics. This will build upon Annex A of the Exposure Draft report. As part of the feedback we received to the Exposure Draft, statisticians told us of the need to share with policymakers the benefits and limitations of official statistics when policy decisions are made. Statistical input is an important part of policy making and this guidance will point to critical questions that policymakers can ask about the statistics they use and of the statisticians who produce them.
