I wish to draw your attention to a recent message about Welsh schools from the School Cuts campaign.
The campaign’s message suggests Westminster is deciding on the level of funding within Welsh schools. This is false.
The level of funding received by schools in Wales is a decision made by the individual Welsh local authorities. The amount of money each authority receives is a decision made by the Welsh Government.
It is misleading to combine these statistics with the claim that “Westminster is failing schools in Wales”.
