Building Safety Remediation Monthly Data Release

We have completed our review of the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG)’s Building Safety Remediation monthly data release. As you are aware, these statistics are currently published as management information (MI), and MHCLG is voluntarily applying the Code of Practice for Statistics to them. Our findings are summarised in a separate report.

During our review, we found these statistics to be a strong example of how MI can be developed to demonstrate the principles of the Code of Practice for Statistics. We thank the statistical team for its positive engagement during the review process.

I am copying this letter to Paul Vickers, Head of Buildings, Resilience, and Fire Analysis at MHCLG, and Julia Bowman, lead statistician for these statistics.
