We are now accepting entries for our 2024 Award for Statistical Excellence in Trustworthiness, Quality & Value, awarded in partnership with the Royal Statistical Society (RSS) and Civil Service World.
The award recognises excellence in the voluntary application of the ‘pillars’ of Trustworthiness, Quality and Value (TQV) that stand at the heart of OSR’s Code of Practice for Statistics.
Ed Humpherson, DG for Regulation, said:
“This award is now firmly established and I look forward to seeing entries that demonstrate strong evidence of TQV, with real emphasis on how the Code’s principles are directly benefitting wider user’ audiences.”
Dr Sarah Cumbers, RSS Chief Executive, said:
“Many organisations go above and beyond to voluntarily apply the Code of Practice in their work, and they play a vital role in ensuring that the data underpinning our daily lives is robust and of public value. I look forward to another year of fantastic entries.”
Baroness Onora O’Neill of Bengarve, whose work inspired the award commented:
“This award provides wider benefit for statistics and data in the public domain, whilst underpinning, supporting and accurately informing public debate.”
